Peter Deunov on the Cycles of Solar Energy - Part 1

Peter Deunov, the master teacher of Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov, taught how the sun's energy could heal various parts of our physical bodies and increase our overall health. He taught that the sun had different qualities, depending on the seasons and daylight hours, and the changing levels of sunlight affected different parts of the body. He also explained why it’s better to sungaze at sunrise and to do it from Spring till Autumn. He said:

“The sun is a source of living energy for the whole solar system. In relation to the earth, the energy of the sun is positive. This energy develops into positive and negative electricity, and into positive and negative magnetism. The energy of the earth in relation to the sun is negative (the earth has two kinds of energy, but the negative is predominant, while of the two kinds of energy, which the sun possesses, the positive is predominant). By the contact of these two kinds of energy, life is produced on Earth. The powerful mediator, which unites and transforms these two energies, is called ether by the scientists. It penetrates all space and the whole earth. The occultists call it vivifying plasma; the mystics call it spirit. In the book of Genesis it is said: ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was waste and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep: and the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.’

“The structure of the sun is the same as the structure of the cells. The sun is composed of three regions: one of them prepares the energies; the second one accumulates, collects and transforms them; while the third directs them to the earth. These three regions exist also in the cells: an outer region which receives the solar energy; a second one which accumulates it within itself; and an inner region, which works it over and transforms it into a vital force. These three regions are found also in the organism in a more developed form. In the embryo, one can recognize them most easily. The first, outer, visible envelope is called ectoderm; the intermediary one is called mesoderm, and that which is in the center, the most internal, is called endoderm.

“The energy which our sun receives from the central sun of our visible universe is positive at first, but afterwards it is polarized into positive and negative. There exists an important law that the more negative the earth, the greater its capacity of receiving the positive solar energy; and inversely, the more positive the earth, the lesser its receptive capacity.

“Every celestial body receives energies by its negative pole and emits them by its positive pole. When a center is positive, it gives, but when it is negative, it receives. The positive energy creates, while the negative constructs.

“The greater part of the energy, which our sun receives from the central sun, is consumed by the sun itself. Comparatively a very small amount of it is transmitted to the planets. The energies, which the earth receives from the sun undergo a considerable transformation, for as they penetrate the earth layers, the latter absorb all their nutritive elements and only that which is not of any more use remains. Thus the earth throws into cosmic space those energies, which are of no more benefit to its development and growth. From there, by certain special ways, these energies return to the sun, which, on its part, redirects them to the central sun for further modification and transformation, until their primary rhythm is achieved.

“From midnight till noon the earth (i.e., a respective part) is negative and receives more, while from noon till midnight it is positive and gives more. Beginning at midnight, the earth starts to project into cosmic space negative energy and in return, to receive positive solar energy. At sunset the earth is positive to the highest degree, and consequently it gives most. In the afternoon, the earth starts to project into cosmic space positive energies, and after it has emitted a sufficient quantity, it becomes negative. This is gradually done and it is toward midnight that the negative energies become predominant. The earth is negative in the highest degree at sunrise, which means that at that time it receives most. This fact is of highest importance for us, since it reveals the great significance and value of sunrise. We must take into consideration the following law: we form a part of the earthly organism, and, therefore, when the earth receives, we also receive and when the earth gives, we also give. This is exactly why the first rays of the sun are the most powerful. At that moment, the human organism is most receptive toward the solar energies. There is always more vital energy or prana in the morning than at noontime, and the living organism absorbs the greatest quantity of positive energies (prana) at that time. The first rays of the sun (at sunrise) are most active; the sun is then at the apogee of its activity.

“The solar energy passes each day through four different states. From 12 o'clock midnight to 12 o'clock at noon there is an influx of solar energy, and from noon to midnight - a reflux. The influx, which begins at midnight, reaches its culminating point at sunrise; it is then most powerful and vivifying. It gradually decreases till noon and then the reflux begins which reaches its highest point at sunset. According to the law of motion, that part of the earth which turns itself constantly toward the sun and approaches it, is found in the most favorable conditions for its development, while that part whose distance from the sun increases loses most of the conditions. An hour before sunrise the solar energies have a purely psychological effect on the cells of the human body, and by refreshing and invigorating them, create a new impulse toward activity in the whole body.

“Before sunrise, the rays which are refracted in the atmosphere, influence mostly the brain. During sunrise, the rays which come in a straight line, influence mostly the respiratory system and our sensitiveness; while toward noon, the same rays have an influence upon our digestive system. That is why the curative power of the solar energy is different during different hours of the day, before sunrise for the amelioration of the cerebral nervous system; at sunrise for the strengthening of respiratory system, and from 9 till noon, for the strengthening of the stomach, that is to say, during that time of the day, the sun rays have a curative effect upon the sick stomach. In the afternoon, the curative effect of the solar energies is of smaller importance.

“At the first sight, it would appear that the solar rays are most curative about one or two o'clock in the afternoon, since the heat is greatest then. But if the solar rays had a curative effect through their heat, why then could not the heat of the stove be a substitute for their curative power? It is not the solar heat which is the main curing factor, but this function belongs to other energies of higher order, which we may call prana (vital energy) in regard to which the earth is more receptive in the morning.

“The latest scientific researches declare that the solar rays are most curative before noon, but someone might object that when it is sunrise for us, it is noon for some and sunset for others. Then why this difference in the curative action of the rays during the different hours of the day? The reason for this difference lies in the varying receptive aptitude of the earth and the organism.

Review of Fire and the Light, Cathars, and the True Teachings of Christ

I have finished reading Fire and the Light: A Novel of the Cathars and the Lost Teachings of Christ by Glen Craney. I gave it a 4-star review because it was too depressing at times and didn't give enough of the true teachings, especially teachings about the sun. Craney does hint at it a few times, but nothing in depth. Also, at one point he has the Templar hero discover the ancient scroll containing the lost Gospel of Love. In it, the Apostle James supposedly says that Paul is misleading the early Christians into believing Jesus as the only Son of God and not as one representative of the Christ. Nothing can be further from the truth.

St. Paul has been accused of perverting the original Essene Christianity, which recognized the Christ in the Sun and taught that we could be saved through Jesus’ secret teachings. However, it was not Paul but Peter and later church leaders who substituted this with the historical Christianity, which condemned sun worship and taught that we could be saved only by Jesus’ death on the cross. If you read Paul’s epistles, this would seem to be the case. However, the truth of the matter is that after Paul’s death, the leaders of the Catholic Church rewrote most of the epistles to conform to their doctrine of atonement as opposed to Paul’s Essene doctrine of At-One-Ment. A distinguished Dutch scholar, Van Manen, to whom had been assigned the writing of an article on Paul in Hastings’ Dictionary, after much careful research and consultation with other scholars, repudiated the genuineness of the epistles traditionally ascribed to Paul. In other words, their authorship was forged. Van Manen stated emphatically that the Paulinism of the lost Acts of Paul and of the canonical Epistles of Paul, is not the “theology” of the historical Paul. George Mead wrote that this conclusion was of tremendous importance, since it was not the opinion of an isolated scholar, but the outcome of the studies of a school.

Clement of Alexandria recorded that Paul, before going to Rome, said that he would bring to the brethren the Gnosis, or tradition of the hidden mysteries, as the fulfillment of the blessings of Christ, who, Clement says, reveals the secret knowledge and trains the Gnostic by mysteries, that is, revelations made in the state of trance. Such a state can be attained through deep meditation, chanting and sungazing.

Unfortunately, Paul was arrested in Rome and a few years later executed. His true teachings on the mysteries of the sun were lost for several centuries until they were resurrected in Armenia and Syria during the late seventh century by the Paulicians. They were so named because their teachings were the Gnostic mysteries handed down from Saint Paul. A medieval Armenian source describes an Armenian sun cult whose adherents were known as Arevorti, sons (children) of the sun.

The Paulicians were persecuted and diminished in the ninth century, but in the tenth century, a new Gnostic movement, the Bogomils, arose in Bulgaria, which carried many of the same beliefs and practices of the Paulicians, including sun worship. They rejected infant baptism, because they believed that baptism occurred not through the agency of water or oil but through penance, prayers and chanting of hymns. The Bogomils also rejected the eucharist as a pagan blood sacrifice and the doctrine of Mary being the Mother of God. The Bogomils believed that salvation was to be found only in Jesus’ secret teachings. This meant a life of asceticism. They taught that each person should assume responsibility for his or her spiritual destiny in community with others and realize the birth of Christ in their hearts.

At the beginning of the 12th century, Byzantium started to persecute the Bogomils. Many were killed, but some fled to Italy, southern France and elsewhere. One Bogomil bishop who fled to Southern France, Guilhabert de Castres, taught Esclarmonde de Foix the mysteries and initiated her as a Perfect. This is described in the novel. By the middle of the 12th century, Gnostic schools like the Knights Templars and Cathars had sprung up and spread throughout Western Europe. These were the Western European counterparts of the East European Bogomils.

The Cathars “pure ones” and the Knights Templars were concentrated in the Languedoc and Midi regions of Southern France. The Cathars claimed to possess the Book of Love (AMOR) the original initiatory version of the Book of John (the only gospel the Cathars read) which likely contained the solar mysteries. It taught that a spark or tiny sun of the Christ Light dwelt in mans heart and it revealed how to nurture it like a seed of divinity so that it blossomed into the rose of original rose-cross mystery school. This teaching, which reputedly could transform a human into a divine being, once belonged to Thutmose III, Akhenaton (see my book Pharaoh of the Sun), Moses, Solomon, Jesus, and John the Divine. It was reputed to be able to dissolve all hatred, anger and jealousy from the hearts of men.

The Cathars believed man entered the kingdom of God through his soul. The pineal was considered by Descartes to be the seat of the soul. The process of doing this was called ascending. The initiate would prepare for baptism through a voluntary renunciation of the flesh and attachment to the things of this world. This was called repentence by John the Baptist, Jesus and Paul. In Greek it is metanoia, meaning “to turn around.” In other words, to turn your back on the world.

The Cathars believed that the key to this divine transformation was the correct understanding of the symbolism of the Eucharist, that is, the bread and wine and the Holy Grail. The light of the sun is the bread; its warmth is the wine. The Holy Grail is the brain’s third ventricle or cavity containing the pineal and pituitary glands. This secret of communion, known to the Cathars as the consolamentum (with the sun in the mind), was kept hidden from the uninitiated.

Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov has this to say about communion. “Bread and wine are solar symbols. It is not a question of the physical reality of bread and wine, but of the two properties of the sun: light and heat, which combine together to create life. But the heat is love, the light, wisdom. And so we can see that [the Christ through] Jesus meant that if we ate his flesh: wisdom, and drank his blood: love, we would have eternal life.

“For two thousand years, now, Christians have been eating wagon-loads of hosts and drinking barrels of wine without ever attaining everlasting life and even, sadly enough, without being in any way the better for it. The only way to attain eternal life is to eat the light and drink the warmth of Christ, the Spirit of the sun.”

Communion is a two way street. We receive God’s light or wisdom and God’s warmth or love. But we also return something to God through our eyes, which are the windows of our souls. We send to God our thoughts, prayers and affirmations. And these thought, prayers and affirmations are multiplied by the power of the sun and broadcast to the world where they can effect change. That’s why we should only have positive thoughts when we Sungaze. And we should always end with an outpouring of gratitude.

The Cathars believed that the solar elements of the Eucharist transubstantiated into the body and blood of Christ within themselves. Transubstantiation comes from the Latin trans, across, and substantia, substance. This substance turned men into gods, as described by Jesus in his statement: “Is it not written in your law? ‘I said ye are Gods.’”

This substance, the transmuted elements, caught by the Holy Grail (the third ventricle), is what the Hindus call Amrita, the elixir of immortality and the Greeks called Ambrosia, the nectar of the gods.

William Henry, in Mary Magdalene, the Illuminator, wrote “All the occult mysteries speak of a key that is required to unlock mystical secrets of enlightenment. Specifically, the lost secret of the Templars… is about building a better human through the release of secretions from the astounding manufacturing plant of spiritual oils, the human brain. This oil or essence was the key secret of Mary Magdalene and the Essenes recovered by the Templars from between the temples. The skull [specifically the third ventricle] is… the Cup of Life, the Grail, that catches these secretions from the brain… The Templars’ ultimate objective was to restore true Gnostic monotheism to the world, uniting Christianity, Judaism and Islam in a New Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. The ‘new’ humans that inhabited this New Jerusalem (or New Atlantis) would know and embody the secret of the Kingdom of Heaven within the brain and its capability of producing… the elixir of life, the Sacred Soma, the tonic of immortality, for these terms all refer to the cosmic esse or brain substance.” It was also called Christos (anointing oil) by the Essenes.

Host an Angel Party

I had a synchronistic experience Friday. I got an email from a sungazing friend directing me to the following link to an article about biophotons and how the human body emits, communicates with, and is made of light.

Then a few minutes later, I open the novel I'm reading The Fire and the Light about Esclarmonde de Foix and the Cathars, and I read the following: "Her head exploded with the same swirling orb of Light that had incapacitated her in Lavaur. When she regained her sight, she felt compelled to focus upon the whiteness that surrounded the missal's script... The Light of the body is thine eye. If therefore thine eye be single, the whole body shall be full of Light....She had always read the references to this Light as a metaphor for purity and goodness, but now she knew it to be a real force, one that acted directly upon the body."

I thought that this synchronicity might mean I should write a blog about it, but I put it off till today when I read the Daily Meditation from Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov, which BTW you can subscribe to at
http://www.prosveta-usa.com/subscriptions?key=d3B1cmRpbkBnbWFpbC5jb20=

This was the Daily Meditation: Sunday, February 1, 2015.

"You would like to receive help and blessings from heavenly entities, but how can they even see you if you do nothing to attract their attention? Send them a few signals of light at least. How? By projecting sparks, fireworks of pure colour, each day, from your heart, mind, soul and spirit. When they see them, these entities will say, ‘Oh, there’s a party down there; let’s go and join in!’ As they draw near, what they see will seem so beautiful to them that they will befriend you. They may even decide to live within you, and then everything will become easier for you.

If spiritual work is to be taken seriously, it is because it is the only way to attract the presence and help of higher spirits. Light is the only thing they are sensitive to – but not just any kind of light, only the kind projected by creatures who work with their thoughts, feelings and wishes to make their whole being a dwelling worthy of the Divine."

Omraam Mikhaël Aïvanhov

So, If we fill our body with light through meditation and sungazing (using our single eye or pineal gland) and project this light out to the universe, we can communicate with heavenly beings and attract their attention, and, for some people, like Esclarmonde de Foix and Joan of Arc, these beings spoke to them and lived within them. Omraam said elsewhere that this light we project is a form of food for angels. Of course any party wouldn't be worth going to if it didn't have good food.

Thanks for reading. I look forward to your comments.

The Essence of Sunyoga

I began reading The Essence of Sun Yoga by Sunyogi Umasankar. In the preface the author admits that the book contains only a few drops of the nectar of sun yoga, amounting to about 10%, that he intentionally left out 40%, and that 50% is inexpressible in words. However, those few drops of nectar are more than enough to satisfy a seeker. The author also acknowledges Sri Mahaavatar Babaji as his teacher of sun yoga when he spent two years in the Himalayas from 2007 to 2009. Babaji also taught sun yoga to Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov and HRM.

This brief blog post is probably less than 10% of the 10%, but it would probably take 10 blog posts to do a decent review of this book. I suggest that everyone get a copy. The author first describes three meditation practices that prepare a sunyogi for sungazing: photo meditation, eye-to-eye meditation, and meditation on the light. Before any of the meditations and before sungazing, you ask six questions without any expectation of receiving answers. They are: Who am I? What do I want? Why do I want to do it? What is the purpose of this life? What is the connection between what I am doing and what I want? What do I seek? Not having any expectations seems to be a key. For example, in the meditation on the light, don't expect it to get bigger.

In photo meditation, you gaze at a 10"x12" photo of your face, focusing on the eyes. This connects the sunyogi with the power of the Atma (soul), for the eyes are the windows of the soul. The author explains why a photo is better than gazing at your reflection in a mirror, something about eye movements breaking your concentration. At a certain point, you will begin to see a bright point of light, at which point, you can move on to meditation on the light. An alternative to the photo meditation is meditating on the eyes of a loved one such as a spouse, parent, or child. Again, when you see the light, you can stop this form of meditation. In meditating on the light, you focus on any point till you see the light. The light will become larger and brighter till it surrounds you and you see a divine form, which is Brahma or God inside you.

Then you are ready to sungaze. Sounds amazing, but that's what he wrote. In sungazing, he advises not to look directly at the sun at first but to angle (30-45 degrees) the eyes up to focus on the third eye chakra between the eyes and gaze at the sun through the third eye. Then gaze at a point 2 inches above the sun. When comfortable, lower the eyes to the level of the sun and gaze for 30 minutes. After sungazing, close your eyes tightly three or four times and relax slowly, Afterwards, with eyes still closed and focusing on your third eye, you will be able to see the bright light of God within you. You should also rub your palms together till they're hot and put them over your eyes till the warmth is gone, then massage your eyelids with your fingers clockwise. Finally, you lie down and do a progressive relaxation of your body from your toes to the top of your head.

I have seen a bright light before during meditation and suspected that it was God, but it has never expanded to the extent that I could see a form. Also, every time I sungaze, I see several bright lights in a constellation that looks exactly like the Pleiades. Also the brightest point of light is in the position of Alcyone, which is the brightest star of the Pleiades. What this means is not explained in the book, although he does have a chapter on stars, galaxies, and the black hole of the universe and their relationship to sun yoga. I suspect that what I am seeing is a star map in my third eye to guide my soul when, at the point of death, it leaves my body to return to heaven, which some claim to be Alcyone.

There is much more in this book: chapters on the chakras (more than the seven main ones), a chapter on the benefits of sun yoga (such as wisdom and longevity), higher states of sun yoga, linking with the universe, and world peace. But I will leave them for you to discover.

Gene Savoy and Project X: The Search for the Secrets of Immortality

Anyone who has researched sungazing to some extent will have come across Gene Savoy and his solar religion, Church of the Second Advent, and solar science, cosolargy. He studied ancient sungazing societies, mainly the Incas of Peru, but also the Mayans and Essenes, and discovered secrets of how they were able to commune with solar beings and prolong life. The latter secrets were the focus of Savoy's book, Project X: The Search for the Secrets of Immortality. Although he does not directly divulge any of the secrets in this book, he does give hints, such as gazing at the sun at high noon through crystals, something which I don't recommend, and he reveals some of the results of the experimentation by members of Project X. For example, some middle-age women in Project X experienced signs of reversed aging such as their hair changing from gray to their original color and beginning menstruation again.

Savoy wasn't after physical immortality. He died in 2007, so he didn't discover the secrets of that. However, as he stated in the book, "The secrets of immortality, it was becoming all too apparent, would be found in my emerging new faculties of light generated by solar techniques and not in any physical attributes.... An energy body could not die as long as there was light.... Why couldn't man generate a higher light form that was immortal? The first step would be to discover the key of doing away with the physical attributes right from the start. Why did birth have to take place in physical form? Why not as a light or solar being? That should be the goal of man on our planet: to ascend to the sun and the stars."

Hopefully, Savoy attained this goal, ascended to the sun and beyond, and is now an immortal being of light. That certainly is my goal, and should be the goal of every man and woman. The question Savoy posed of why we are reborn in a physical body instead of a light body is the age-old question that has been answered by sages. To put it in one word -- karma. Karma is made in the physical plane and can only be balanced in the physical. If you don't make reparations for all wrong you have done in this life before you die, you will have to be reborn in the physical so you can finish balancing your karma. When you succeed in doing this, then you can be reborn in a light body. It's possible to begin building a light body now so that when you balance all your karma, you can just transfer your consciousness from your physical body to your light body. Some yogis are able to do this after going into meditation. It's called "dropping the body."

This light-body has been called by different names by different masters. Serapis called it “the deathless solar body,” Omraam called it “the body of glory,” Akhenaton called it the Mer-Ka-Ba. During the Middle Ages, the Cathars claimed to possess the secret gospel of Jesus called the Gospel of Love, believed to contain keys for creating the light body. I will be writing about this in my fourth novel of the Sons of the Sun series, The Sun Shines at Midnight.

Omraam and his master Peter Deunov inherited the secret teachings of the Cathars and Bogomils. If you want to find out the real secrets of immortality, read the books that have been compiled from their lectures, available through Prosveta.com and Everabooks.com. And if you want to join a community of lightbearers who are dedicated to creating light bodies through sungazing and other means, visit heartscenter.org.

Welcome to Solrevolution. You can pronounce it as "Solar Evolution" or "Sol Revolution." Both are valid. We have been undergoing a solar evolution for millions of years and we are now undergoing a Sol revolution in consciousness. There have been other Sol revolutions in the past, most notably the solar religion of Atenism in Egypt begun by Akhenaten and Nefertiti with the help of Meryra and Nakhtpaaten, aka Joseph, son of Jacob. I have published a novel about this key point in history, Pharaoh of the Sun: Akhenaten and the Culture of Love. I have blended historical facts, theories, and my imagination into a plausible mystory, as opposed to history (that is, the opinion of an academician about what happened in the past). I think it is as good an explanation of the mystery of Akhenaten and Nefertiti's reign as any. The archeologist Barry Kemp of Cambridge University wrote that so little is known about what actually happened during their reign that "the minute you begin to write about those people you begin to write fiction." Thus, if a historian posits that Akhenaten was a narcissistic ruler who claimed only he and the royal family could worship the Aten and he was the sole mediator and that people had to worship him, that is fiction. In my interpretation, people worshiped the Aten freely in open-court temples. It would have been kind of silly for Akhenaten to construct solar temple several acres in area if he, Nefertiti, and their daughters were the only worshipers.

Pharaoh of the Sun is the first novel in a series of four historical novels in the Sons of the Sun series. It chronicles the solar evolution of mankind over the past 3,300 years through four Sol revolutions: Akhenaten and Atenism, Moses and Essenism, Jesus and early Christianity, and Raymond-Roger and Esclarmonde de Foix and Catharism. There are common threads of brotherly love and solar science that run through all four revolutions and I will also tie them together by having the key characters reincarnate into each story. We are currently in the midst of a fifth Sol revolution, begun by the masters Peter Deunov and Omraam Mikhael Aivanhov at the beginning of the 20th Century. This story is not fiction and I am playing a part in it.

I am excited about the positive response so far to Pharaoh of the Sun and invite you to read the free preview at Amazon or at Smashwords.
